no spoilers: just pictures
There were plans in the works to do a full-on big blowout LOST Finale Party. But for several reasons it didn't happen, and we decided to just do a little/casual viewing party here at home with the family yesterday. So Luke&Bonnie, Johnny (Bethanie's still trying to catch up), and Ry&I journeyed together on the 5 1/2 hour LOST farewell ride. We watched the 2 hour recap, the 2 1/2 hour finale, and the hour long Jimmy Kimmel Live after show. (I even watched the Jimmy Kimmel online Q&A cause I'm a dork like that, to make almost 6 hours for me!)
Even though our party was super small and super casual we had to incorporate a few fun things in the mix.....
Bonnie made her AMAZING "black & white" cupcakes. Chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese and chocolate chips in the middle topped with homemade frosting and more chocolate. Dang sometimes it sucks not to be able to eat!!! Especially when you remember what something like those cupcakes taste like.....
I made the cupcake toppers that were dual-sided. Black and white. Opposite numbers.
4-8-15-16-23-42.
I memorized these numbers the 2nd time I heard them because I am a number freak like that and their fun role has been one of my favorites parts.......
Here's the white side....
And of course, the white side can't exist without the black side.....
We also had some "black and white" chips with mango salsa. (And some other yummy salsas, but I thought the mango one was the most fitting...)
The Island may have given Luke&Bonnie and Bethanie&Johnny a little gift as well....
And just to be random, this polar bear joined in on the fun...
For me there was lots of white and also a little black to the finale.
I would expect nothing less though.....
Hope you all had a great time saying goodbye to LOST......
